* 1 in 12 black men age 40-49 years.

* 1 in 8 injection drug users.
* 1 in 5 black men age 40-49 in Manhattan.
* 1 in 4 men who have sex with men in Chelsea.

The epidemic is increasingly affecting women, who now constitute a third of new AIDS cases – up from 1 in 10 at the start of the epidemic. More than 80% of new AIDS diagnoses and deaths are among African Americans and Hispanics. Black men in New York City are 6 times more likely to die of AIDS than white men; black women are 9 times more likely to die of AIDS than white women. Hispanic men and women are 4 times more likely to die of AIDS than white men and women.

Does race matter?

At the finish of NOVA’s report on Kennewick Man (KM) – a PBS program that aired in February, about the racial origins of a 9,000-year-old human skeleton found near Kennewick, Washington – the narrator invites viewers to watch two scientists argue on-line over the question of whether or not race matters (NOVA’s website at pbs.org).

To ask such a question about humans is much like asking if breeds of dogs really matter, as if dog owners’ care in choosing a certain breed is of no consequence to the owner or to dog breeders.

Johannesburg has become the rape capital of the world, with a survey this year reporting one in three women questioned had been raped in the past 12 months. A quarter of schoolboys surveyed in Soweto thought “jackrolling,” as South Africans call gang rape, was fun. The poll was conducted by the organization CIETafrica. Article.

ESPN, a Jew-owned global sports network that has run over 200 stories promoting false rape allegations made by a negro stripper against white Duke students, has failed to run a single story on its main page regarding the alleged gang rape of an 11-year-old Latino child by ten black members of two community college football teams in northern California.

Queried about the discrepancy, a source at the network confirmed a decision had been taken by senior management to “downplay” the alleged rape for undisclosed reasons. “Unless the story blows up nationally, you aren’t going to see much from us,” said the source, who requested anonymity.

Good article, touching on some of the things I mention in WC post. A British inventor describes British attitudes today: We like fast bucks,” he says. “Our culture admires flashes of brilliance. We don’t admire dogged development. Our culture goes against the steady pace and hard work of industry. As I said, the average Briton uses “brilliant” every third word or so, and that is a strong clue to attitude.
