Suddenly, the Covidians Switch Directions. Why?

Just a week ago, a government website proudly declared that the Covid-19 PCR test was the “gold-standard of Covid-19 tests,” the best test available. Now suddenly, it isn’t a good test! Odd, don’t you think?
Suddenly, in late July 2021, the wacky Covidians have made two big changes: 1) getting rid of the PCR test, and 2) deleting 6,000 Covid vaccine-related deaths listed on the CDC website [1].
Apparently, the PCR test has trouble distinguishing between the flu and Covid! (Why is the government suddenly concerned about the flu when it hasn’t mentioned the flu for many months?) [2]. Why did the government wait 1 1/2 years to make the switch away from the PCR test? It took the government that long to figure out that the PCR test didn’t work well for Covid testing?
Obviously, people in the government are getting nervous. Are they worried that the Covid house of cards is collapsing?
“On Saturday the CDC announced that PCR tests will soon no longer be available for emergency use to determine whether individuals have contracted COVID-19, and seemed to tacitly admit that the tests are unable to differentiate between COVID-19 and influenza viruses.”

[1] Dr. Kary Mullis, the inventor of the PCR test, said it wasn’t designed to be used for testing for infectious diseases in live humans. Also, the PCR test has a high rate of false-positives. Furthermore, a positive PCR test result does not mean that you currently have Covid: it can mean that you may have had Covid 4 months ago. As you can see, it’s a crappy test for Covid and it’s amazing that it took the CDC so long to get rid of it.
[2] if Covid even exists. As soon as Covid appeared in early 2020, the flu suddenly disappeared. Why? Is Covid really the flu?
