Suddenly, in late 1973, the media said: “The energy crisis! The energy crisis! There will be no more oil available! Or gas! We’re all doomed!” the media said every day. Yes, every day. People were panicking. “How am I gonna get to work if there is no gas??” people would ask.
Six months later: sudden silence. The “energy crisis” vanished as quickly as it came. Months of hysteria, gone in a flash. Poof! Gone like snapping your fingers. On to the next crisis!!
