“Yay, capitalism!” we always hear. No. Capitalism is not your friend [1]. In fact, George Orwell never could have imagined that private companies could threaten our freedom nearly as much as any government could (in America, big companies have actually helped Congress write laws. And the political Left is financed by big companies).
“The International Monetary Fund estimates the collective worth of Apple, Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Microsoft at $3.5 trillion, more than the GDP of the United Kingdom…”
