In the Neil Diamond remake of “The Jazz Singer” Neil paints his face black so that he can play with a black band.
A black audience member is suspicious and comes up to study Neil. He sees that Neil is really white, and shouts, “Dis Crackuh white!” and a big fight breaks out.

One man is dead following a shooting on Sunday on the 400 block of South Raleigh Street in Martinsburg. Officers responded shortly after 4 p.m. to find the victim inside a home, and suffering from two gunshot wounds. According to investigators, the man, identified as Corey Barkhamer, 26, was taken to Berkeley Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. MPD Detectives are investigating and have determined Mr. Barkhamer is a resident of South Raleigh Street and was shot during an attempted home invasion by an unknown suspect. MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Martinsburg man faces multiple charges in connection with the alleged armed robbery of a woman in May in Berkeley County, W.Va. Alvin D. Gilbert, aka Albert D. Gilbert, 26, of Porter Avenue and Karla Court, was charged with robbery stemming from the incident, according to Berkeley County (W.Va.) Magistrate Court records. He also is facing prosecution on one count of person prohibited from possessing a firearm and two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (marijuana and crack cocaine), court records said.
Corey Barkhamer, age 26
