Quick question: Can anyone explain to me why if she was so pro-national socialism why she shacked up with a hideous looking East Indian man? I haven’t read her works yet but her life seems to contradict National Socialist teachings.

Devi is popular because “occultism” is popular and the old error that Aryans came from India or thereabouts is still popular. Bullshit doesn’t die hard — it doesn’t die at all. And this Devi, she says a few mystical things about Hitler and preserving Nature, and that makes her worth studying. I say chuck her in the bin and go back to Nietzsche. Dig up a copy of Rosenberg or Chamberlain. We don’t need a “mystical”-minded miscegenite who used the Aryan name to justify her wanderlust.

These are some-what un-fair. No-one is disputing the importance of Nietzsche, Chamberlain or Rosenberg. Their works are vital texts for any committed National Socialist or White Nationalist. Devi, however, provided a slightly different perspective: that’s all. For a social movement to succeed, it needs a religious element to appeal to the masses. This has been noted by such luminaries as Revilo P Oliver. WCOTC, for instance, endeavours to provide such a basis.

Of course, it is the paramount duty of any white man/woman to have AS MANY WHITE CHILDREN as possible. Nature, in Her wisdom, demands NO LESS. That said, there ARE exceptional cases(perhaps one in a million) where the survival, expansion and advancement of the White Race require one to step forward and forgo this most sacred of Nature’s commandments. Adolf Hitler was such a one. Devi was possibly another.
Hitler devoted his life to his race through politics and Devi did the same through her writings. As for Devi’s ‘marriage’….this was simply a temporary arrangement of convenience to avoid being arrested by the British authorities. And: as for being married to ‘an ugly’…..there’s plenty of white women married to ugly white men anyway! (‘ugly’ in both personality and appearance)

Works such as ‘Lightning and the Sun’ and ‘Gold in the Furnace’ could hardly be said to promote an esoteric, populist, New Agey ‘occultism’.
Above all, they are in praise of National Socialism.

Finally: at least Devi HAD THE COURAGE OF HER CONVICTIONS.
A small, slightly built woman of (early) middle age was prepared to BUCK the hideous post-Nuremberg ZOG de-Nazification edicts and risk imprisonment and, perhaps even, DEATH for HER BELIEFS…….an epitaph that could not, unfortunately, be reasonably said of many White Nationalists. It is a short list indeed of WNs who are prepared to face the tender mercies of a ZOG Jewdiciary and the even flimsier mercies of a ZOG gulag for THEIR beliefs: the Order, David Duke, Matt Hale, Chester Doles, Zundel, Irving(maybe!), a handful of WNs and ‘skinheads’ arrested and imprisoned over the years in various Israeli ‘colonies’! I, for one, don’t know if I could handle it……so, PLEASE, not so much un-warranted criticism of Savitri Devi……an apostle to the LIGHT!

Outis is proof that ignorance, arrogance, and narrow-mindedness are not just traits of Christian, Muslim and Jewish fundamentalism, but of NS fundamentalism as well. One characteristic of the fundamentalist mind is the strong urge to reduce the amount of reading necessary to claim enlightenment. In every case, enlightenment depends upon only one book, the fundamentalist’s chosen writ, in this case MEIN KAMPF. Thus, for what it is worth, I totally agree with Outis that Savitri Devi, and the Savitri Devi Archive, are not for people like him.

I would be most interested to see the names of people who claim that the Aryans originated in India–a claim, by the way, that has nothing to do with the EX ORIENTE LUX notion. The only people I know of who could be construed to claim this are certain Hindu Nationalists who assert that all of Indian culture is indigenous, and therefore deny the existence of an Aryan invasion. But to my knowledge none of them claim that the Aryans who brought their language and culture to Europe and the Near East came from India, although logically, they would have to argue that.

One small note: Savitri Devi should not be called “Devi” for short, as if it were her surname. Devi is actually a title. It is Sanskrit for “goddess,” which is a title that all Aryan women in India are entitled to adopt, Aryans being “gods on Earth” amid the non-Aryan populations of India. The title is analogous to “saint.” And just as we refer to St. Augustine as Augustine for short, not as Saint, we should refer to Savitri Devi as Savitri for short, not as Devi. On its own, Devi or Saint, like mister or doctor, do not refer to anyone in particular.
