A German police officer passes in front of a violated memorial for inmates killed in, 74 miles Nazi concentration camps Sachsenhausen and Ravensbrueck at the village Below near Wittstock, some 120 kilometers north of Berlin, on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002. Unknown persons overnight Wednesday covered the memorial with a swastika and SS-runes and burnt a room of the museum of the memorial site. The text on the memorial reads: "In April 1945 thousands of inmates of the concentration camps Sachsenhausen and Ravensbrueck camped in this forest. Hundreds of them were killed by the fascists here. People be on alert". (AP Photo/Markus Schreiber)
