ATHOL, Mass. -- Athol police say
they're going to report a woman to the Department of Social
Services for making her son stand on a street corner with a
sign around his neck reading: "I didn't do my homework."
"She apparently was just frustrated
with him," said police Chief Timothy Anderson.
Anderson would not identify the
woman or say how old the boy was. He said Thursday the case is
being investigated. No charges have been filed against the
woman, and her son was not harmed, Anderson said.
Police received calls Tuesday
afternoon from people who saw the boy standing on the corner
of Main and Green streets with the sign around his neck.
The boy's mother told police he was
her child, Anderson said. (AP)
