Broke dealer cut up woman, fed her to lions By Siyabonga Mkhwanazi Financial problems led Hong Zhu, accused of murdering and cutting up a woman before feeding her to lions, into the life of a drug dealer. This revelation was made by co-accused Wang Jin during cross-examination by Hong's advocate Suman Barua at the Johannesburg High Court on Wednesday. Hong and Wang are alleged to have abducted and killed Wen Si, of Edenvale, on March 22 last year after Wen's husband Yun Fu had paid an R80 000 ransom. 'Wen was chopped to pieces, then boiled' Wen was chopped to pieces, then boiled, before her body parts were fed to animals at the Lion Park near Fourways. Only her vertebrae and a rib were recovered. Wang told the court on Wednesday that Hong, his former employer, had told him about dealing in drugs when his wholesale business started doing badly in January last year. In addition, Wang claimed his former boss had invited him to join him in drug-dealing, but he had refused. As his driver, Wang said, he took his boss to various places, such as the recently closed Sands Hotel in Hillbrow, Houghton, Centurion, and certain shopping malls where he did "business deals". 'He would ask me to look in the mirror and see if somebody was following us' "He would carry a bag (every time they went to these business deals) and I suspect he was dealing in drugs," said Wang, adding that he always remained in the car while Hong dealt with his associates. "When I was driving he would ask me to look in the mirror and see if somebody was following us. Also, before getting into the car he would look left and right. He was very careful," he said. Wang added that Hong would shove his bag under the seat each time he returned from meeting his business associates. The people he was dealing with drove luxury cars, such as Mercedes-Benzes, Wang testified. The trial continues.
