I frankly do not know if all of the people behind this movie are Jewish, but the director -- Kaplan -- apparently is, which I think helps to explain a few features within "Brokedown Palace."

The multicultural fun in this movie begins almost immediately, as we are introduced to a White, American lawyer and his Asian wife-who-is-also-a-lawyer-of-course. A few scenes later, the viewer is treated to the images of a White youth kissing a Black girl at a party. The scene is fleeting, but nonetheless there.

The reasonably interesting storyline of "Brokedown Palace" goes like this:

Two White, young college-bound girls, played by Danes and Beckinsale, are planning to go on vacation to Maui. But they change their minds when they discover that they can do Thailand for half the price. So they go Oriental, but without telling Dad or Mom about their change of travel plans. Big no-no.

Genuine Thai locations add realism to this film, and Danes and Beckinsale are good actresses--even though they, like all movie actors, are constantly making billions of dollars for various Hollywood Jews, who then use that money for more multicultural attacks on White Western culture -- a vicious cycle, it's.

Anyway, once the girls reach Thailand, they are conned and set up by a smooth-talking Australian man, who plants drugs in their luggage as a means of creating a diversion at a Thai airport for a bigger drug shipment to pass through.

The American-lawyer-in-Thailand-with-an-Asian-wife-who-is-also-a-lawyer-of-course mentioned above then reluctantly aids the two arrested girls, eventually freeing only one of them -- Beckinsale. The other -- Danes -- remains in prison, an old Thai royal palace converted into a bug-infested women's prison, hence the title of the film.

This movie isn't as bad as some, and there are a few bright spots within it: Whites who see this film will immediately notice the differences between a clean, well-run jail in White America and a roach-and-dirt-floor copy of one in southern Asia--that is a good racial message. Also, most viewers will manage to work up some sympathetic feelings for the down-on-their-luck duo who were unjustly persecuted in a foreign land.

But lefty/multicultural/feminist messages doom "Brokedown Palace" to consignment in my reject pile, unless one can see this movie for free and mentally blot out the obvious agitprop. Even then, you will want to at least fast-forward through the Black/White kissing scene at the beginning of it.

*Ed. Note: Though Claire Danes is a gentile by blood, Jewhoo! reports the following as of May 22, 2002: ".... According to some reports, she is studying to convert [to Judaism] in anticipation of marrying Australian Jewish rock musician, Ben Lee.... Update: Well, we haven't heard anything about her converting since we posted this quite a while ago. But, the main Danes fan site.... says that she and Lee are living together in NY and she is quoted as saying, "I'm so in love it's disgusting." You know Danes is not the first woman to fall for "his type." We refer, of course, to the commonly found "Ben Lee" type: Australian Jewish rockers who went to a Jewish Day School and are kind of funny looking and wear thick black glasses. Guys like Lee are shown "getting the girl" in all the movies. Don't you agree?" Jewhoo!'s attempt at sarcasm misses the mark. Whether geeky Jews are a cinematic cliche is irrelevant; in real life Hollywood they DO get the girl. Seen professional Jewish geek Adam Sandler's model girlfriends lately? Seen the variety of shiksas paradigmatic dork Woody Allen has bedded? Or how 'bout greezy Hebe Spielberg? Not to mention half-Jew Ben Stiller or full-Jew Daddy Jerry Stiller, etc., etc.... The list -- what I like to call Swindler's List -- goes on and on and on. The policy is simple: Jews who wander into forbidden shiksaville territory deserve the same fate as Pearls who brazenly swagger into Pakistan.
