Former Kach members to hold Purim party at Goldstein grave By Nadav Shragai, Ha'aretz Correspondent

Former activists from the outlawed Kach party have announced a plan to meet Sunday evening, the eve of the Purim holiday, for "celebrations" of the memory of Dr. Baruch Goldstein, at his graveside at the entrance to Kiryat Arba, next to the West Bank city of Hebron.

A statement released by the movement "Friends of Baruch," founded by several former Kach activists from the Kiryat Arba area and the Golan Heights, said that the event would be "celebrations for the righteous holy doctor, Baruch Goldstein."

Goldstein killed 29 Muslim worshippers on February 25, 1994 when he stormed into the Ibrahimi mosque in Hebron and opened fire on the congregants, before he was killed by the crowd.

Itamar Ben-Gvir, a former Kach activist, said that he and his friends had wanted to hold a Purim party at Goldstein's grave last year, and even received authorization to do so. However, once the event became well-publicized, the police reversed the decision and closed off Goldstein's grave in order to prevent the "festivities" being held.

"The purpose of the celebrations," said Ben-Gvir, "is to mark the memory of Dr. Goldstein, in opposition to the wave of left-wingers who... are trying to hurt his memory in all kinds of ways... Goldstein is a saint, and what he did was a holy thing. We are respectful of his memory. He did a great thing, a holy thing."

Ummm ... I was unaware that there are saints in Judaism.

And because we all know that all Israelis love the Palestinians as brothers, there is only one explanation left:

Mr. Ben-Gvir is a Catholic agent trying to discredit Israel and Judaism ! Expell him immediately !

I was unaware that there are saints in Judaism.

I believe that "tzadek" would be translated into English as, "saint".

After what happened on 9/11, what happened at our barracks and embassies, etc, and after Michael Pearl's beheading, I find it difficult to disagree with Kach and Dr. Goldstein.

What is an "innocent" or "peaceful" Islamic? One who does not follow the teachings of the Koran, perhaps? for the Koran is full of teachings to kill, slay, destroy, eliminate, blah, blah any non-Islamic. We see Islam's "holy men" exhorting their followers to kill all Americans and all Jews, all Christians, all everyone who is not one of them.

So, what was Goldstein's mistake? He knew them for what they are -- lying, murderous demons -- long before we did.

No ma'am. your terrorists are murderers of innocents. There is no such thing as an innocent Muslim who follows his Koran's teachings.

That said, when Goldstein did his act, I, too, thought it was horrific -- in spite of all the bombings, shootings, and rocket attacks on Israeli schools and homes, busses, restaurants, and shopping centres that preceeded Dr. Goldstein's attack. I know you are aware that the current wave of arab terrorism is nothing new; and I am proud that my country has finally joined with Israel in standing up to the b@$t@#d$ -- although it took the death of thousands of Americans and the destruction of the NY skyline before we acted.

At some point we will have to drop the pretense that "Islam is peace", and recognise that Islam teaches its followers that their duty is to lie, cheat, and lull us "infidels" into complacency until they can murder and destroy us.

Most actions are first conceived of in the mind, then acted upon. And many pro-Israeli posters on this site speak of repeating their words in actions. Why doubt them?

I've noticed that many supporters of Israel on this site like to refer to Arab Muslims as animals.

Given this penchant for the rhetoric of dehumanization, it wouldn't surpise me if FR's Israel contingent regards Goldstein as a hero.

Now isn't that funny. That's EXACTLY what Osama bin Laden said, that there are "no innocent Americans" so everyone is a target.

You people are doing a fine job of illustrating what I've been saying all along: There's no such thing as a righteous fanatic. You're EXACTLY morally equivalent to the jihadists. There's not a PENNY'S worth of difference between you and John Walker Lindh.
