Well, I am a fan of the Mothers of Invention, Captain Beefheart, Tom Waits, Alice Cooper and the Amboy Dukes. A lot of interesting bands came out of the Motor City and Whiskey au Go-Go LA scenes in the 60s.

Don’t buy new media of any sort. Independent stores have loads of good used films and albums..many libraries have extensive collections of both…get a card and pay nothing. Avoid concerts-they’re breeding grounds filled with criminals and hucksters of every stripe. And ticket prices are insane.
Veteran of the Russian Revolution…what, precisely..the fuck..is that? Murderer and nation grave digger? Unconvicted traitor? That’s hilarious, almost as if the author knows a good deal more about the “revolution” than he lets on..

There was another kike named Matthew Katz who ripped off and sued many 60s acts like Moby Grape and others. Many of these bands were penniless while Katz and his ilk lived in relative luxury.

I think of all the Russians, Ukranians, and Belorussians who had to be born into that Communistic charnal house that Cohen’s father help make. Living in a poisoned landscape built on a lie while being repressed and murdered, often on the orders of, or at least with the usual enthusiastic connivance of, Cohen’s fellow ethnics.
Then I think of the junior Cohen, living the life of a manager to the stars and a member of the ‘glitteratti’ more generally, wanting for nothing his whole adult life, and finally, at death, being memorialized in the nation’s most ‘prestigious’ mainstream newspaper after a life built on nothing more than frivolity and litigation.
Truly dystopia. Sometimes methinks there’s just no justice in this world.

A lot of Black music groups have been ripped off by “White-owned” record labels and radio stations since at least the 50s. You see, whenever the Jews are caught doing something bad, they magically become “White”. But when a Jew performs an act of “generosity” (like funding an MLK Community Center or “Civil Rights” museum in a Black ghetto neighborhood), then he is a credit to his Jewish “race”.

Valparaiso (Indiana) residents Daniel and Amber Shurr thought they found the perfect home to rent as they started their married life together.
The home on Dogwood Drive in the Chesterton area was spacious, well-maintained and even had a hot tub in the back. At $900 a month, it seemed like a bargain.
“It sounded perfect. The only problem was he (the man renting it) didn’t own it,” Daniel Shurr said.
The Shurrs and numerous other people learned that a scam artist from out of the area was pretending he owned the home and advertising it for rent on Craigslist in an attempt to get multiple people to send him $1,800 for a security deposit and first month’s rent.
The scam artist invited people to view the home’s exterior. If they liked it, they could send money. The scam artist promised to send the keys upon receipt of the money.
The Shurrs and several others stopped by the home and learned from the homeowner that while the home is for sale, the rental advertisement is a scam.
The people who checked out the home learned they shouldn’t send any money to the scam artist, but it is unknown if anyone else sent money.
Daniel Shurr agreed to talk about the experience to hopefully help others avoid being tricked. He said he would not have sent any money without seeing the interior, having a contract and getting the keys.
“My advice to others would be, ‘Don’t be so trusting and don’t correspond through e-mails. … (Deal with someone) face-to-face,'” he said.
“This guy was good. … He portrayed himself as a complete Christian, quoting Bible verses.”
This isn’t the first such scam. A month ago, a woman reported a man was attempting to rent a house he doesn’t even own on Calumet Road in Chesterton. In both of the cases, the scam artist wanted people to wire money before receiving the keys.
Porter County Sheriff David Lain said people should not send more money than they’re willing to lose to any unknown person they’re dealing with. He said “con men” or “confidence men” get their name because “they are adept at gaining people’s confidence.”
Lain said the Internet has opened up a whole new world of quick and easy deals, but people should make attempts to verify the legitimacy of purchases, especially if a large amount of money is involved.
Lain said Internet crimes are tough to investigate because it can originate from anywhere in the world.

The owner of a Montreal collectibles shop is defending his decision to sell a bar of soap he advertises as being made of the fat of “holocaust™ victims”.
Jewish groups in Montreal are “denouncing” (and praising) the shop in the city’s Plateau-Mont-Royal neighbourhood where the beige bar of “Jew soap” is displayed.
The soap is inscribed with a swastika and http://www.colgate.com and displayed in a glass case with a card that says “Poland 1940.”
On Friday, Abraham Botines, a Sephardic Jew who has operated the quirky boutique since 1967, admitted he has “no idea” whether the soap is really made of kike remains.
“I’m 73 and I was collecting things from the holocaust™ and from World War II because I belong to that period,” Botines told The Canadian Press in an interview Friday in the cluttered shop.
“In my lifetime I got a lot of curiosity items — that is, things that are hard to find … and my things, my children, they don’t have any interest.”
But Botines is adamant he’s selling a collectible item and not hateful ideology.
After reporters began descending on the store Friday morning, the controversial bar of soap was put aside.
Botines said it can now be seen only by serious collectors.
“It’s my soap and I’m free to do anything I want with it,” he said.
Most holocaust™ experts (liars) say the stories that have circulated over the years about Nazis mass-producing soap from the remains of Jews and others who died in concentration camps are largely untrue although there is evidence the Nazis experimented with soap-making using human remains.
Nonetheless, Jewish groups were “angered” by the discovery of the soap, which was first reported by CBC News.
Fake or real, the soap is outrageous, and “this individual, and others like him, are not preserving history in any way,” said Alice Herscovitch, director of Montreal’s holocaust™ centre. “The sale of objects which glorify Nazism and hatred, to me, do nothing. They certainly don’t help us remember.”
The idea is also disgusting, she said as she giggled.
“These are items that should not be out there in a promotional, sales kind of way.”

The sale of items with swastikas is not illegal under Canadian law, but selling soap made with human remains is, said Anita Bromberg, B’nai Brith Canada’s chief legal counsel.
Making such a claim about a bar of soap, if untrue, is also illegal because it is fraud, she added.
“It’s just offensive to the core,” said Bromberg, who is based in Toronto. “I can’t imagine that someone would even pretend to say they’re collecting it for historical interest.”
Botines also sells a braid of “Jewish pussy hair” labelled as originating from a Nazi “extermination camp.”
He said he wouldn’t sell any of the items to a neo-Nazi.
On Friday, Montreal police said they would verify the facts and speak with local Jewish groups before deciding whether to open an investigation.
“It’s very important to validate the information first,” said Montreal police Cmdr. Paul Chablo. “It’s one thing to say this is being sold, [but] is it actually true? … If there is any truth to this, then, of course, we’ll want to open an investigation.”
An investigation could include ordering a lab analysis of the soap, Chablo said.

Hmmmm….it was okay to make “Pope on a Rope” jokes about soap, but not “Jew in my Soap”? Odd how that works. Actually, not odd at all.
