— An example of lawmaking in a constitutional Republic: “As liberal state legislators, we’d love to ban handguns. But we can’t, because the Second Amendment prohibits it. We can’t re-write the Constitution.”
— An example of lawmaking in a mob-rule Democracy: “Screw the Second Amendment. We’re the state legislature. We’ll decide what the Constitution means and how it applies to gun ownership. We won’t blindly follow an antiquated document created by dead White males 200 years ago.”
In other words, does the Constitution rule, or do mobs of idiots rule? Is the constitution the final word, firm and fixed like cement (like the conservatives say), or does it grow, bend and stretch whenever you want it to (like the liberals say)? That’s the test. Sadly, today, the constitution means whatever a handful of retards says it means. (That’s how it works in third-world countries, too). A great example of that is America’s totally unconstitutional USA PATRIOT Act . The PATRIOT Act should have never become law [1].

[1] on the founding of the U.S.A.: “a Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, “a republic, if you can keep it.”

The Federal Constitution is the weapon of choice to maintain Federal tyranny. Conservatives and liberals drink from the same federal trough. What about statehood and state security?
Maybe White people should manage themselves on the county level.

Funny how the lefties always whine about things they don’t like as being “unconstitutional”, even though they consider the authors of the Constitution to have been sexists, racists, homophobes, etc. They don’t even care how illogical and inconsistent their so-called arguments are, it’s all about getting what they want by throwing tantrums.
