H.L. Mencken on Democracy

“Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance.”

“Democracy, too, is a religion. It is the worship of jackals by jackasses.”

(What I hate about democrazy is that it’s an equalizing movement, just like its supposed opposite, communism. For example, Blacks, women and fags can become congressmen, er, congresspersons. Communism is equality with a dictator, and democracy is equality without a dictator — Socrates).

Just remember, a dicktaker always takes everyone’s dicks.

That way, there are no real blokes left. Everyone’s a wus.

Democracy has a mob of dictakers.
