      Dear Fiend:

      I am writing to solicit your support for the Commentary Fund. I ask for your help so that the magazine and its web site can continue to take the lead on the most important issues facing the nation and western civilization. With that help, we will continue combating anti-Americanism both at home and abroad, especially in the struggle against Islamo-fascism — the latest mutation of the same totalitarian threat we fought when Communism posed an analogous challenge. We will defend Israel against the relentless assault on its legitimacy as a Jewish state. And we will continue questioning the conventional wisdom on a very wide range of domestic issues while also casting a critical eye on the arts and the culture out of which so many of those issues arise.

      Your donation will not only help keep Commentary afloat, but will be crucial in strengthening Commentary’s presence on the Internet, increasing the range of its activities and broadcasting its incisive analyses and bracing point of view to more and more readers around the world.
