The Strange Fruit of Torture
The first confession released by the Bush regime’s Military
Tribunals–that of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed–has discredited the entire process. Writing in Jurist, Northwestern University law professor Anthony D’Amato likens Mohammed’s confession to those that emerged in Stalin’s show trials of Bolshevik leaders in the 1930s.

And we’re laughing at you and want to kick you in the family jewels for being so stupid as to continue perpetuating the myth that the Gestapo was part of the “evil Nazi” system you love to hate. The truth is — for anyone who takes the time to look into the details — is that the Gestapo actually let people go and never did anything worse than the Allies to POWs, including and especially the British and American handling of them. However, once the KGB got a hold of your ass, 99 times out of 100, you could kiss your freedom and possibly life goodbye. It was the gulag or death. Not even close to such obvious injustice for the Gestapo.
