The interesting thing that no one ever brings up about the lifestyle pushed by these Conservatives today is how self absorbed and effeminate it is. If you compare the way of life of an old Hollywood queen like Merv Griffin to the lifestyle of an elite Conservative there isn’t much difference beyond their sexuality: they share the striking similarities of having no real ideological principles and the feeling that “community” is only something for the poor dregs to worry about.
