These are tough economic times, especially for African-Americans, for whom the unemployment rate is more than 10%. Alarmingly, rather than belt-tightening, the response has been to spend more. In many poor neighborhoods, one is likely to notice satellite dishes and expensive new cars.

According to Target Market, a company that tracks black consumer spending, blacks spend a significant amount of their income on depreciable products.
In 2002, the year the economy nose-dived; we spent $22.9 billion on clothes, $3.2 billion on electronics and $11.6 billion on furniture to put into homes that, in many cases, were rented.
Among our favorite purchases are cars and liquor. Blacks make up only 12% of the U.S. population, yet account for 30% of the country’s Scotch consumption. Detroit, which is 80% black, is the world’s No. 1 market for Cognac.
So impressed was Lincoln with the $46.7 billion that blacks spent on cars that the automaker commissioned Sean “P Diddy” Combs, the entertainment and fashion mogul, to design a limited-edition Navigator replete with six plasma screens, three DVD players and a Sony PlayStation 2.
The only area where blacks seem to be cutting back on spending is books; total purchases have gone from a high of $356 million in 2000 to $303 million in 2002. This shortsighted behavior, motivated by a desire for instant gratification and social acceptance, comes at the expense of our future. The National Urban League’s “State of Black America 2004” report found that fewer than 50% of black families owned their homes compared with more than 70% of whites.
According to published reports, the Ariel Mutual Funds/Charles Schwab 2003 Black Investor Survey found that when comparing households where blacks and whites had roughly the same household incomes, whites saved nearly 20% more each month for retirement, and 30% of African-Americans earning $100,000 a year had less than $5,000 in retirement savings. While 79% of whites invest in the stock market, only 61% of African-Americans do.
Certainly, higher rates of unemployment, income disparity and credit discrimination are financial impediments to the economic vitality of blacks, but so are our consumer tastes.

I sincerely wish folks would quit equating negros to chimps, apes or animals. This is a grossly demeaning practice.
Chimps, apes and other members of the animal king-
dom are intelligent, thinking and feeling creatures.
A lot of animals live in intricate socially structured groups and herds. Some mate for life – and will actually go thru a mourning period if their mate is lost. Some live isolated lives, coming together for the sole purpose of propagation.
Usually after three or four martinis.
So please – please quit bringing down the beautifull, intelligent and varied species of our planet.
It only serves to raise the negroid to a status it has done nothing to deserve.

this study was done by a black research company remember. but come to cooncago and you won’t need no study. Just go to a black or mexican neighborhood. These morons are only three checks away from being homeless. The post office, city and goverment jobs all go to spicks and niggers. Hardley any jobs go to white veterans. You should see the blackatude and spickatude.

i work as an adjuster for workers comp insurance in vegas and almost every asshole injured worker i get is a nigger. if they arent niggers then they are most likely mexicans, orientals or arabs. i will deny all their claims and requests for everything in medical and disability benefits. it takes years before they can get a penny and most times they settle for some change because they have no brains to think about the future. got this one guy from the middle east who i’ve been denying since january 2007 and he’s still trying to get something with constant hearings and appeals. his next step will be to go to the supreme court after he loses at district level but i’m hoping he’ll croak before then. good thing though is that we got good WC judges who won’t tolerate niggers or arabs. we don’t even have a case against this arab guy but he keeps losing at every hearing because he ends up with the same judge who also doesn’t like niggers. if we had more judges like her, it would solve at least the ‘niggers sucking out benefits from’ WC problem and send them back to whatever fucking country they came from and speak whatever goddamn languages with each other instead of around us

I’m really sickened by the fear of non-niggers being accused of “racism”. Why should we feel ashamed of being reprimanded by these failed anthropoids. They are the real social pariah! hmore read about how the Jews have utilized the niggers politically I envision this evil alliance of manipulative and satanic rulers (Jews) using the niggers as means of emasculating the other races. It’s like a silent holocaust that needs to be exposed immediately. Niggers are vile, ugly, stinky creatures that have done nothing good for civilisation. we must stop enabling them before they encroach on all our freedoms. We must unite and be brave. do it for your children before their fate of a hideous diversified world comes into play.

Old article, but my observations of the spending habits of blacks is one of the reasons I became racially aware. They’ll fail to pay the rent on their apartment one month, but they’ll have one of Puffy Daddy’s Navigators with rims in the parking lot (often rented rims). They’ll ask you for money but they’ll be wearing $300 jeans, a $200 belt and Bling out the wazoo. They’ll pawn their Xbox for $50 to buy some movie tickets but then they’ll buy back the same toy for full price on credit the next month.
The examples of how Niggers are financially inept are endless. Thanks for putting this website up guys. Oh, and I seriously doubt that 61% of negros invest anything. I can believe 16%, but if you consider the statistic about negros who DO make 100K+/year having less than 5K in savings (from all of those years) what are we to think of blacks who have an average wage? Don’t spent like a nigger indeed.

They drink more Scotch. This statistic really sucks. What about the whole rest of alcohol?

Hey. I read this article and all of these comments and felt the need to throw in my two cents. I am an African American (though some of you might call me a “nigger”) and I don’t undersatnd why you would say these things. This was sent to me by a boy from my school in an attempt to hurt my feelings. But in truth, I’m happy he sent this. I am 13 years old. I am an 8th grader. I have never been held back.I brush my teeth, I read, I take pride in how I look. I am in honars English and Social Studies, Varsity band, Honars band, Algebra, on the Cross Country team, volunteer, am an active member at my church, and just recieved my state testing scores. All Pass+. My parents are happily married and both have well paying jobs. They are also African Americans. I live in a nice house, have my own room, live in a nice, leave-your-door-unlocked kind of neihborhood, and do not curse. I can afford to wear what I want (though believe me, my mother has to approve it first) and my family has never needed hand-outs. I hate rap music. It’s a bunch of cussing and noise. I am not ignorant. I know right from wrong. Lying? Wrong. Stealing? Wrong. Cheating? Wrong. I know what matters should be taken seriously and I know how to handle them responsibily. “Ain’t” is not in my vocabulary. My mother and father have stressed to me all my life the importance of proper grammar. Why? Because of people like you who look for every flaw. I will admit, the behavior of those of my race do, at times, disgust me, but the same behaviors would disgust me if being done by a white person. Or an Asian person, or someone with a Latino herritage. I have seen these behaviors in EVERY race. I don’t sleep around. I believe in abstinance. I don’t let boys walk all over me because I am a women. I have insecurities (mainly because of people treating me like I’m an idiot because of my race), but I will not be a victom. I want to be a surgeon. I want to be alot of things. Important things. That matter. Not some rap star or some sugar baby. I’m better than that. I may not like what you are saying about my race, but I want you to know I refuse to hate you for it. Because then you win. Well, I have school tomorow, then Cross Country pactice so I better call it a night. I would just like to ask you to please give me the benifit of the doubt. I know you are all adults and I am only 13, but I am not what you say I am. Thank you.

There is no such thing as a middle class nigger, because by definition, niggers only care about themselves. To be middle class, you need to sacrifice, work hard etc…BUT and this is a huge fuking but, capitalists used africans for free labor, to get ahead, and idiot politicians keep the divide alive through failed social programs. BTW, we are currently spending 10 billion dollars a month to spread capitalism, wars on 3rd world countries, so we have not learned our lesson. Spiggers are a huge problem on the east coast since corporations needed puerto rico as an ally nation for profit and gave them free entrance to our social programs. PR is a 3rd world country, many places woithout running hot water, screen on windows etc…The middle class is paying for niggers, spiggers and the rich ceo’s. If we stopped bailing out ceo’s, niggers and spiggersk then we would be so much better off, but what politican can run on that card??????????????? we will fail as a country, just like Rome

I will say this, I was not raised in a racist atmosphere. I grew up having a very normal black family in my neighborhood whose children I grew up with and at one point was very good friends with. As time went on, I soon figured out what “other” blacks were like when one started a fight with me in 7th grade for “touching his locker”… luckily I nearly knocked the lips of that baboon right in front of all of the rest of his tribe and they all left me alone for the rest of my school career… although one did steal my jacket and then wear it school for the next few years, which I thought was hilarious because I hated the jacket and thought it was funny to see the dumb ape who stole it wear it…. and my mother bought me a new that I picked out so it was like he did me a favor. Then far after graduation, I started a business. Well I hired one of them because he seemed “normal”. Well low and behold, guess who was stealing from me for over a year while pretending to be my friend the whole time??? I bet you guessed it. You know why he stole from me? Because the coon had to have a shiney new hat and shoes every week, I always wondered how the hell he could afford to buy new clothes like that all the time as the wage I was paying him was fair, but it wouldve been hard to afford all those new clothes. Hell I was the owner and I didn’t even spend nearly that much on clothes.
All you have to do in order to judge any race is look at the home country where the breed came from. Africa is by FAR the shittiest, stinkiest, most dangerous, highest AIDS and other disease having continent on the planet.
And blacks sold their own kind to whites as slaves so I don’t even want to hear that non sense, just shows how spineless the coon is… anything to have the money to get that shiny new toy that keeps the primates entertained for a short time, then when they tire of that shiny piece, they will begin to hunt and steal again to pay for the next one.
